A fascinating series of documents from Major Trevor, a Rhodesian with Colonel Plummer's Force, comprising a two page report on water supplies written and signed by Colonel Plummer; seven field reports written on memorandum sheets appertaining to Colonel Plummer's Forces covering two different sorties or scouting expeditions, with transcripts; and a letter from Pietersburg regarding having received a wire from Pretoria stating that the "Chartered Company's forces had crossed the border at Mafeking and cut the telegraph wires", and another wire from Joubert "The enemy are within our borders Commandier all Burghers keep watch on the Tuli Road and guard Northern boundaries".
