1900 (15 Aug.) and 1901 (18 Feb.) envelopes addressed to RJL Tindall, an Officer in the Imperial Light Horse, the former to Stellenbosch showing manuscript "Prisoner of War on parole", the latter to The Castle, Cape Town redirected to Paarl and showing blue crayon "On Parole"; 1900 (11 Aug.) mourning envelope from Brandfort addressed to POW "under Parole, c/o Postmaster, East London" and marked "Try c/o Provost Marshall"; and 1902 (4 July) envelope from Winburg addressed to POW "c/o Provost Marshall, Jameson Street, East London"
