very large antique book of vignettes which have been cut and pasted onto its pages by hand. The book likely dates from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. There is a large variety of vignettes from American banknotes, brands, trademarks, etc. The book's vignettes feature assorted images such as bald eagles and other animals, people including Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Native Americans, and allegorical figures, as well as symbols of industry and agriculture in addition to a number of state seals. Also includes 12 loose vignettes and a scrap of watermark paper which are not pasted onto the pages but cut as if to be scrapbooked. A very unique and special item
book itself in fragile condition, but the pages are sturdy with no major tears, edges fraying
