German States, Electorate of Saxony, Frederick Augustus I (1694-1733), Commemorative Ducat, 1719, Marriage of his son the Electoral Prince August and Archduchess Maria Josepha of Austria, latin inscription in ten lines, rev. INDISSOLVBILITER, two flaming hearts tied together with the ends of strings held by a hand on each side, one male, the other female, 3.45g, 7h (KM 842; Freidberg 2842; Gumowski 2113), a few areas of bruising but otherwise very little wear, pinkish red tone to the gold, a beautiful and passionate design with great eye appeal, rare, very fine
