George III (1760-1820), Shillings, 1787 (2), stop above head, second laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. cruciform shields, one with no hearts, the other with, crowns in angles, edge obliquely milled, 5.99g, 12h; 6.02g, 12h (ESC 1216, 1225; Bull 2125, 2129; S.3743, 3746), both lustrous and nicely toned, most pleasing extremely fines; and Sixpence, 1787, no hearts, six strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 3.00g, 12h (ESC 1626; Bull 2187; S.3748), some minor contact marks otherwise reflective surfaces, toned with petrol hues, extremely fine; and 'New Coinage' Shilling, 1820, laureate head right, rev. crowned shield in Garter, edge milled, 5.67g, 12h (ESC 1236; Bull 2157; S.3790), some cabinet friction, with pleasing cartwheel lustre on both side, bright blue toning, extremely fine; and 'New Coinage' Sixpence, 1817, laureate head right, rev. crowned shield within Garter, milled edge, 2.81g, 12h (ESC 1632; Bull 2195; S.3791), wiped and lightly contact marked, now retoned, very fine (5)
