William III, Solus (1694-1702), Guinea, 1699, second laureate head right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, four strings to harp, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, edge obliquely milled, 8.32g, 6h (MCE 182; EGC I, 419 [R2]; S.3461), cleaned but residually lustrous, otherwise pleasingly uniform for strike, strictly very fine thus but an exceptionally rare date of issue, very seldom encountered in commerce, especially as collectable as this!
