Charles II (1660-1685), Pattern Broad, 1662, by Thomas Simon, CAR: II D: G: M BR • FR ET HI REX, laureate draped and cuirassed bust left, ten leaves in wreath, no berries, rev. FLORENT CONCORDIA REGNA, crowned squared-topped shield, [edge plain], 9.07g (Coin), 6h, 37cm overall length (BNJ, Lessen G3/3; Schneider II, 421; EGC 166 [R3]; North 2780; S.3337A), polished and remarkably repurposed into a 200-Year-Old Georgian Sterling Silver Toddy Ladle inscribed 'IA', hallmarked for silversmith Solomon Hougham [SH], 1813 [S], London, light die flawing, otherwise struck details, bolder than very fine, but with splits, residual colourful retoning to peripheries, the sauce boat naturally toned but with polish residue in recesses, the finial slightly bent, on a twisted baleen handle with unmarked mounts, very rare, a remarkable paranumismatic object, the coin could be removed if so desired
