(x) Iron Age Britain, Atrebates and Regni, Uninscribed Coinage (c. 60-40 BC), 'Selsey Dahlia' Type, AV Quarter-Stater, debased laureate head of Apollo right, rev. triple-tailed annulate horse right, 'no mane' variety, sun motif above, wheel below, spike piercing neck, 1.41g [27.76grns], 3h (VA 220; Mack 65; BMC 478ff; ABC 503; S.48), struck upon a honey-golden elliptical flan with much residual lustre in recesses, a pleasingly bold very fine, scarcer in higher grades
