CIVITAS LONDON, L with broken serif, reverse-barred Ns, long cross and trio or pellets in angles, 4.35g, 10h (LAL (a)1/4; North 1251; S.1616), small flan chip at 5 o'clock, otherwise bright with some porosity and roughness to surfaces, the portrait details nevertheless visible and delicate and boldly uniform for type, a pleasing very fine, scarce
