Hardwicke Court (Gloucestershire) Collection, housed in a cabinet that belonged to King Charles I, but was presented to Archbishop Sharp by Queen Anne
John Sharp III, Archdeacon of Northumberland (1723-1792), with ticket in his hand, stating: "Found in a grave under a scull [sic] at Kintbury Churchyard, Berkshire, Jun. 1761"

A note in Archaeologia, Vol. VIII, p. 430, states the following: "There were lately dug up some hundres of ancient silver pennies of coins, which were found under a skull. The grave digger sold those that fell to his share for 16s. 6d. Many of them are much valued by the curious."
C E Blunt noted: "One coin of Eadred is in the Archbishop Sharp collection, five pennies of Eadmund and Eadred were sold in the William Powell sale of March 1762 and another penny of Eadred in the National Collection (BMC 92). Blunt also noted a coin of Eadwig in the Ashmolean Museum from the same find.
