HIS • PRÆSVM • VT • PROSIM •, crowned shield, dividing cypher, 6h, 9.92g, i.m. thistle and B (SCBI 35 [Ashmolean], 1392 same dies; S.5531), faintly scratched before the face, the reverse struck from very lightly rusted dies, with a rich golden-red hue and lustre, extremely fine, and a truly wholesome and deeply attractive example of this ever popular 'fine-work' 17th Century Briot coinage, in NGC holder, strictly graded AU58 (Cert. #8220521-013)
