REGINA, curly Z in ELIZABETH, crowned bust E left, with flowing hair, wearing elaborate bodice, rev. (m.m) SCVTVM • FIDEI • PROTEGET • EAM, crowned square-topped shield, dividing E-R, edge grained, diameter 28.5mm., 5.538g [85.0grns], 5h, m.m. lys (Schneider I, 760; Brown & Comber BC 2, L5 [BB6]; North 2019/4; S.2543), small area of graffiti above crown on reverse, minor die flaw to the forehead and evidence of die rusting to the obverse, nevertheless a crisp and pleasingly uniform strike, lustrous and with a light golden hue, a most charming extremely fine, very rare and with a splendid pedigree!, in NGC holder, graded UNC Details ~ Reverse Graffiti (Cert. #8220520-002)
