NGC MS62 | *Top Pop* | James II (1685-1688), Guinea, 1686, second laureate head left, with flared nostril, rev. crowned shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, five strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 5h (MCE 128; EGC 329; S.3402), light haymarking above portrait, otherwise bright and lustrous, pleasingly uniform for this often softly-struck type, thus about extremely fine for issue, in NGC holder, graded MS62 (Cert. #6944483-002)
