The L'Abbaye Collection: Part Two | Charles II (1660-1685), Shilling, 1679 over 7, CAROLVS • II • - DEI • GRATIA, second laureate and draped bust right, no stop before DEI, rev. no stop after HIB, crowned shields cruciform, five strings to harp, interlocking Cs in angles, edge obliquely milled, 6h (Pywell-Phillips -; Bull 546 [R2]; ESC 1055 [R2]; S.3375), lightly flecked but toned, with the usual die flaw before nose, a really bold fine to approaching very fine in most parts, the overdate clear and very rare
