Charles I (1625-1649), Group B, Class Ia, Unite, 27 April 1627 - 3 July 1628, Tower (under King), (m.m.) CAROLVS • D : G ' MAG .' BR .' FR .' ET • HIB .' REX, second crowned bust left, wearing picardil, value behind, rev. FLORENT CONCORDIA REGNA (m.m.), no stops, crowned and garnished square-topped shield, 9.14g, 3h, m.m. castle (Brooker 41; Schneider II, 123; North 2148a; S.2687), slightly warped flan, some scuffs and scratches, as to be expected of a metal detecting find, otherwise a most handsome portrait and with much eye appeal, good very fine
