NGC MS62 | Henry VIII, with Jane Seymour (1509-1547), Second Coinage, Gold Halfcrown, (Reigned: 30 May 1536 - 24 October 1537), Tower, Gold Halfcrown, Tower, (m.m.) hENRIC' + 8' : D' : GRA' + REX : AGL' + Z FR', crowned rose dividing h-I, rev. (m.m.) RVTILANS : ROSA : SINE : SPINA, crowned shield dividing h-I, reads AGL Z FR, double/double and single saltire stops, gothic lettering, 1.823g, 10h, m.m. arrow (Schneider I, 606; Whitton IV, 2; HCN 39 albeit no flanking stops to cypher; North 1795; S.2287), some minor central striking softness, otherwise handsomely lustrous on a full and round, if partially uneven, flan, a most pleasingly good very fine to nearing extremely fine at peripheries thus, rare in this wholesome and presentable state, in NGC holder, graded MS62 (Cert. #8221834-001)
