NGC XF | Cilicia, Tarsus, AR Stater, struck under the Persian Satrap Pharnabazos (379-374 BC), head of Arethusa facing slightly left, wearing necklace of pendants, drop earring and headband, rev. head of warrior (Ares?) right, wearing crested helmet, Aramaic inscription behind, 10.74g (SNG von Aulock 5922; SNG France 247), lovely pair of portraits, slight evidence of wear, but style nevertheless fine, vestiges of tone to the edges, good very fine to extremely fine, in an NGC 'Ancients' holder, graded XF (Strike: 5/5, Surface: 4/5) [NGC Cert. No. 8221846-016]
