Sicily, Syracuse, Agathokles (317-289 BC), AR Tetradrachm, sturck c. 317-310, wreathed head of Arethusa left, wearing triple-pendant earring and necklace, surrounded by three dolphins, PHI below neck, rev. charioteer, holding goad and reins, driving fast quadriga left, triskeles running left above, SYRAKOSION below, ADI monogram in exergue, (Ierardi 68 - SNG ANS 640; De Hirsch 662; McClean 2817), toned, light area of corrosion to edge of reverse but otherwise lovely, good very fine
