Hieron I, c. 478-475 BC, charioteer driving slow quadriga right, Nike flyring above right, crowning the horses, rev. SYRAKOSION, head of Artemis-Arethusa right, four dolphins surround, 17.48g (Boehringer 184 (V82/R126); SNG ANS 57 (these dies)), toned, slightly worn to obverse but boasting a lovely archaic portrait to the reverse, about very fine, in an NGC 'Ancients' holder, graded Choice Very Fine ~ brushed (Strike: 5/5, Surface: 3/5) [NGC Cert. #8221846-004]
