NGC AU | Roman Empire, Hadrian (AD 117-138), AE As, IMP CAESAR TRAIANVS HADRIANVS AVG, laureate bust right, slight drapery on far shoulder, rev. PONT MAX TR POT COS III, Britannia seated facing, foot on rock, drawing hood and holding sceptre, shield to right, S-C across fields, BRITANNIA in exergue, 8.79g (RIC 241; BMCRE 1175), green patina, slight roughness to edges but a lovely, detailed portrait and reverse, exhibiting traces of lustre, near very fine, in an NGC 'Ancients' holder, graded About Uncirculated (Strike: 4/5, Surface: 5/5) [NGC Cert. #8221849-022]
