Aurelius Cotta, AR Denarius Serratus, c. 105 BC, draped bust of Vulcan right, wearing cap bound with laurel wreath, tongs over shoulder, star behind, all within wreath, rev. eagle standing right on thuderbolt, head turned left, A to right field, L COT in exergue, 3.83g (Crawford 314/1c; Sydenham 577a), toned, lovely details, some roughness to surface but otherwise good very fine, rare with this value mark
