Roman Empire, Trio of Denarii (3): i) Claudius (AD 41-54), AR Denarius, Rome, c. 50-51, TI CLAVD CAESAR AVG P M TR P X IMP P P, laureate head right, rev. SPQR/P P/OB C S in two lines within wreath, 3.36g (RIC 54; RSC 93), porous and softened, nevertheless rare and good to fine; ii) Vespasian (AD 69-79), 'Judaea Capta' type, IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG, laureate head right, rev. Judaea seated right in attitude of mourning, hands tied behind back, palm tree behind, IVDAEA in exergue, 2.37g (RIC 4; Hendin 760; Cohen 229), heavily smoothed, fair; iii) Hadrian (AD 117-138), struck c. 119-120, IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG, laureate head right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder, rev. P M TR P COS III, Felicitas standing facing, head to left, holding caduceus in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left, FELIC - AVG across fields, 2.85g (BMC 268; Cohen 601; RIC 207), slightly beaten flan, roughness to surfaces but quite detailed, about good fine; (3).
