Victoria (1837-1901), Pattern Proof 'Gothic' Crown, MDCCCXLVII [1847] UNDECIMO, by W Wyon, crowned 'Gothic' bust left, WW on truncation, rev. crowned shields cruciform, emblems in angles, raised lettered edge downwards, 28.19g, 6h (ESC 288; Bull 2571; Spink 3883), bagmarked and hairlined to the obverse, a slight softness to the highest points, otherwise with a brilliance beneath darkly blue-toned fields, a pleasingly bold very fine
