George I (1714-1727), 'South Sea Company' Shilling, 1723 SSC, first laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to harp, SS-C in angles commencing in second quarter, edge obliquely milled, 6.02g, 6h (ESC 1176; Bull 1586; Spink 3647), wisps of flecking and a trace of adjustment to Irish harp, otherwise lightly toned and pleasingly lustrous, good extremely fine
