Sold with a letter from His Royal Highness on his embossed notecard, stating:

'As a Prince of the Muhammed Ali dynasty, I received the Order from King Farouk at my birth, that Order remained in Egypt. When his son, King Fuad II re-established the Order, he gave me the Order, we both had had to leave behind. Osman.'
