Jody Christopher Winning lived at 8 Whitelodge Road and was bestowed his B.M. for saving the life of a five year old boy from a burning house in Paradise, a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia.

The B.M. was created in February 1975 to recognise acts of bravery by members of the community, who selflessly put themselves in jeopardy to protect the lives or property of others. It is ranked third of the Australian bravery decorations in the Australian Honours System.
