A very fine aviation trophy commemorating the record-breaking Cranwell-Karachi flight April 1929
Aviation trophy, in the form of a hallmarked silver half-globe, 150mm diameter, this featuring a detailed map of the route, with a mounted model of their Fairey Long Range Monoplane, wingspan 330mm, on large base, with silver engraved plaque stating 'Presented by Mr C. R. Fairey, To Sqd. Ldr. A. G. Jones-Williams, M.C., in commemoration of the First Non-Stop Flight from England to India, 3948 miles in 50 hours 37 minutes, 24th-26th April 1929', very fine and a unique and important object in aviation history
