(x) Bank Melli, Iran, 1000 Rials, ND (1934-35), serial number A172340, green on multicolour underprint, value in Farsi script at centre and four corners. Centre left vignette depicts a warrior killing a beast in the style of ancient Persian art. Centre right vignette portrait of Shah Reza in military dress. Hajier/Khosravi signatures at lower centre and serial numbers reproduced in top left and bottom right corners. Complemented by arabesque design motifs.
Reverse features mythical winged man, with the value in Farsi reproduced on either side. Imperial arms at the top left and right and the value in four corners. No date overprinted on the reverse
