Single capital letter on prefix dates this banknote between 1890 and 1903 since after 1903 the prefix was split. No signatures, and no printer's annotations. Teheran printed at centre, horizontal specimen/ BW&Cº/ London, perforated.
Pink and green with value in Farsi script in the centre and the four corners on the obverse. Centre right vignette features a portrait of Nasr-ed-Din in traditional Persian military uniform with fez. Centre left vignette presents the symbol of the Qajar dynasty, a crowned lion holding a sword against the backdrop of the sun.
This symbol is repeated on the centre of the reverse, accompanied by English text. Serial number K 00001 is printed in the top left corner, and serial number K 00500 appears in the top right corner.
