(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1872 [Die 96], second larger young head, W.W. in relief on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 6h, 7.97g (Marsh 56; Spink 3853B; MCE 533), hairline scratches across the neck, edge bruise at 2 o'clock and a hairline die flaw through the date and truncation, nevertheless lustrous to the legend and reverse, very fine
