(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1872 [Die 87] (3), second larger young head, W.W. in relief on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7h, 7.97g; 7h, 7.97g; 6h, 7.92g (Marsh 56; Spink 3853B; MCE 533), the first with a die flaw to the 1 in date, all with the faintest of the contact marks, the last with some rub to the bust, nevertheless all lustrous to varying amounts, very fine to good very fine (3)
