(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1872 [Die 69] (3), second larger young head, W.W. in relief on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 6h, 7.95g; 6h, 7.97g; 6h, 7.95g (Marsh 56; Spink 3853B; MCE 533), the first with a blundered 6 to the die number, rubbed, nearing very fine, the second wiped and lightly contact marked, yet residually lustrous and with a hint of red toning, very fine, the third wiped and lightly contact marked, yet with a flashy lustre to the obverse legend and reverse, very fine (3)
