Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereigns, 1871, Type IB (4), [Die 106], second larger young head, W.W. in relief on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.95g, 7h (Bentley 577); another, similar, [Die 109], 7.96g, 7h (Bentley 250); lastly, similar, [Die 110], 7.95g, 6h (Bentley 1163); and, lastly, similar [Die 111], 7.98g, 6h (Marsh 55; Bentley 251; MCE 531; Spink 3853B), the middle two rubbed, the third toned, others bagmarked, otherwise residually lustrous, very fine, the last nearly extremely fine, the last three die numbers known for this date (4)
