(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereigns, 1871, Type IB (3), [Die 1], second larger young head, W.W. in relief on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.98g, 7h (Bentley 1139); another, similar, [Die 2], 7.99g, 7h (Bentley 554); lastly, similar, [Die 3], 7.96g, 6h (Marsh 55; Bentley 1140; MCE 531; Spink 3853B), some minor rim nicks and brightness, otherwise all residually lustrous or even brilliant, the last about very fine, the others good very fine, the reverses better (3)
