(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1866 [Die 34], second larger young head, W.W. incuse on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.98g, 7h (Marsh 51; Bentley 1078 same dies; MCE 527; Spink 3853), die flaw through R of VICTORIA and I of GRATIA, with some rim nicks, otherwise bright but lustrous, a pleasingly bold very fine / extremely fine with a hint of peripheral orange tone
