(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1866 over 1 [?] [Die 11], second larger young head, W.W. incuse on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.98g, 7h (Marsh 51; Bentley 155 same reverse die; MCE 527; Spink 3853), the last 6 evidently struck over another character, its vertical profile most reminiscent of an Arabic 1, otherwise residually lustrous, very fine / good very fine, presumably very rare
