Founded in 1907, the club, based in Brighton, the first of its kind in the country, became a Limited Liability company in 1922 with the shares only being offered to members. The club was in financial difficulty by 1993 which resulted in its premises in Ship Street being sold, however, the club was resurrected and still exists today.VF and rare.
