Great Britain: Shrewsbury & Hereford Railway Company, £20 share, 1846, #1148, green seal, handsigned by the secretary, vignette of Ludlow Castle, black. Eventually opened between the 2 towns in 1853. Well known for for its large and impressive Tudor Gothic style station which was built jointly by this company, the Shrewsbury and Birmingham, Shrewsbury and Chester and the Shropshire Union Railways. A recently discovered variety with green paper seal, hand signature and slight variation in the engraving. GVF.
