Great Britain: Peak Forest Canal (Company of Proprietors of the ..), one share, 179[4], #206, black, paper seal to left. A 14.8 mile narrow canal built from 1794 and opened in 1796 connecting Dukinfield, Manchester to Buxworth. Fell into disuse in the 1920's but like many canals has been restored and reopened by enthusiasts. GVF and rare.
