Thailand: Siam Steam Packet Co. Limited, 50 tical shares, Bangkok 19[28], #109, vignette of steamship top centre, blue, adhesive and embossed Singapore revenue stamps. A very successful British controlled company registered in Singapore but with its capital and chief office in Bangkok. Took over 6 local Thai companies in 1938 which led to the Siamese Vessels Act of 1939 which made all companies at least 70% Thai owned. This company could not meet that criteria so was ultimately sold to the Thai Government in June 1940. Ink cancelled, filing holes at left otherwise GVF and rare.
