Numismatic Chronicle, Third Series, vol XVII, meeting 18 February, 1897; D & W 278/555), handsome glass-like lustre to red-brown surfaces, handsomely as struck, in original leather case of issue with accompanying booklet, which illustrates and details the medal and its origins, scarce and most charming

This medal, struck my T. Halliday, was believed to have been issued by a Mr Walter Hawkins of Kensington, for presentation to young men starting out in life.
