Victoria (1837-1901), Shillings (4), 'Young Head' Shilling, 1872 [Die 98], third young head left, rev. crowned denomination within wreath, milled edge, 6h, 5.63g (ESC 1324; Bull 3042; Spink 3906A), cleaned, yet now with a dark tone to the obverse, very fine; 'Golden Jubilee' Shilling, 1887, small Jubilee bust left, rev. crowned shield within Garter, edge milled, 5.65g, 12h (ESC 1351; Bull 3137; Spink 3926), rub to the higher points, nonetheless toned and with a residual lustre, very fine, the reverse better; 'Golden Jubilee' Shilling, 1890 'Narrow Date', larger 'Jubilee' bust left, rev. crowned shield in Garter, edge milled, 5.65g, 12h (Bull 3144; ESC 1357; Spink 3927), touch of softness to the higher points of the devices, yet with a uniformly warm-grey tone, very fine; 'Old Head' Shilling, 1893, veiled head left, large lettering, rev. small rose, crowned shields in Garter, edge milled, 5.64g, 12h (Bull 3153; ESC 1361; Spink 3940), faintest of pinmarking to the darkly toned fields of the obverse, nonetheless lustrous, handsomely so to the reverse, very fine / extremely fine (4)
