George III (1760-1820), 'Cartwheel' Penny, Soho, 1797, laureate head right, ten leaves, rev. Britannia seated left, six incuse gunports, plain edge, 27.99g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 1132; Spink 3777), soft to the highest points of the reverse, hints of lustre to the very edges of devices, pleasing very fine; Halfpenny, 1799, Soho, laureate and draped bust right, rev. Britannia seated left, five incuse gun ports, centre milled edge, 12.59g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 1248; Spink 3778), some faint bagmarks and hairlining, yet the fields with a handsome full mint red, about uncirculated; and, Penny, Soho, 1806, laureate and draped bust right, incuse hair curl, rev. Britannia seated left, centre milled edge, 19.28g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 1342; Spink 3780), handsome full lustre and rich blue cabinet toned to brown surfaces, handsome extremely fine; and Halfpenny, Soho, 1806, laureate and draped bust right, rev. Britannia seated left, with 3 berries, centre milled edge, 9.30g, 6h (BMC [Peck] 1376; Spink 3781), pitted to the reverse, otherwise light brown surfaces, very fine; also Ireland, George III (1760-1820), Penny, Soho, 1805, laureate and draped bust right, rev. crowned harp, centre milled edge, 17.26g, 6h (Spink 6620), light bagmarking to dark brown surfaces, good very fine; and Halfpenny, Soho, 1805, as before, centre milled edge, 8.63g, 5h (Spink 6621), with a full mint cartwheel lustre and rich cabinet tone over brown surfaces, handsome extremely fine (6)
