George II (1727-1760), 'Old Head' Shilling, 1758, old laureate, cuirassed and draped bust left, rev. crowned cruciform shields, eight strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 6.00g, 6h (ESC 1213; Bull 1734; Spink 3704), some flecks to the reverse, with a most handsome old cabinet tone to lustrous fields, pleasing extremely fine; 'Old Head' Sixpence, 1758, old laureate, cuirassed and draped bust left, rev. crowned cruciform shields, five strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 3.01g, 6h (ESC 1623; Bull 1763; Spink 3711), small raised area to the D of DEI and a slight softness to the hair, nevertheless with a rich old cabinet tone and lustre, extremely fine (2)
