Edward III (1327-1377), Fourth-Coinage, Transitional Treaty Period, Quarter-Noble, London, 1361-1369, + EDWAR' : DEI GRA : REX ANGL', quartered shield of arms in tressure of eight arcs, trefoils on cusps, pellets in spandrels, rev. + EXALTABITVR IN GLRIA, pellet in centre of ornate cross potent with lys terminals, pellets within each inner angle, lion within each outer angle, all within beaded and linear tressure of eight arcs, pellets in spandrels, m.m cross potent, 1.90g, 3h (Schneider 69-74; North 1224; Spink 1501), slightly bent flan with light excavation wear, but otherwise a bold very fine with an unusual spelling to the reverse legend
