NGC VF30 | William II 'Rufus' (1087-1100), 'Cross in Quatrefoil' Type, Penny, 1089-1092, Romney, Wulfmær, [+ PILLELM REXI], crowned bust facing, holding sword over right shoulder, rev. + PVLF[MAER] ON RV, quatrefoil with pellet in angle enclosing a cross potent with annulet at centre, 1.30g, 7h (BMC II; North 852; Spink 1259), light crimping to the very edges and mostly rubbed to the legends, otherwise with an old cabinet tone to the reverse field, better than fine for type, the reverse better, in NGC holder, graded VF30 (Cert. #6356328-010)
