Early Anglo-Saxon Period, Sceattas (3), Primary Series (c. 680-710), Series C (C1), diademed head right, runes before, rev. TOTII within square of pellets, all letters straight, crosses and pseudo-legend surrounds, 1.21g, 7h (SCBI 69 [Abramson], 78ff; North 41; Spink 779) toned, detailed, good very fine or better; another, Continental Series (c. 695-740), Series E/G Mule, Variety K, plumed bird-like figure with cross below beak, rev. standard with four crosses around central boss, 0.79g (SCBI 69 [Abramson], 198; North 49; Spink 791/800), obverse very fine, reverse fine, rare; lastly, Contemporary Imitation, Series J, Type 85, c. 710-725, diademed head right, rev. bird upon cross, 1.14g (cf. SCBI 69 [Abramson], 380; cf. North 128; cf. Spink 802), in base copper alloy fabric, the reverse off-struck and with spots of verdigris, otherwise a bolder fine (3)
