Nepal, Kingdom of Kathmandu, Lakshminarasimha, (1619-1641), Tanka, imitating prototypes issued by Ala-ud-Din Muhammad Shah Khilji (1605-1639), undated, Sri Sri in central circle, mace above, rev. lion crouching on top of elephant, in two interlacing squares, Kalasa below, 10.07g (Rhodes, Nepal 215-216; RGV 188), softly struck and a hairline die crack at 11 o'clock, fine, very scarce

Metallurgical analysis reveals a reading of:
Cu 67.74%
Ag 23.41g
Zn 8.65g
Ga 0.20%

This is consistent with previous analysis noted by Rhodes et al (1989), who states, 'one coin has been analysed as only 20 per cent silver; the other specimens appear slightly finer, although still very debased.'
