Charles I (1625-1649), Memorial of Charles I, AR Medal, 1649, unsigned, LEYDEN GOTT UND OBRIGKEIT., around CARL • I • V • GG • KONIGVON ENGEL : SCHOTT : UND IRRLAND., three-quarters draped and armoured bust left, with plain falling collar, rev. BEV DES POFELS MACHTUND STREIT, seven-headed monster, rampant over the head of Charles, the crown and sceptre, 38.66g, 47mm (MI i, 352, 210; van Loon II, 321; Eimer 163), a handful of hairline die flaws to the reverse and some minor contact marks, otherwise with a handsome old grey tone, the central devices struck-up in handsome high relief, extremely fine, with NGC Certification ticket (Cert. #2138002-001)

This medal is believed to have been struck in either Holland or Germany.
