George III (1760-1820), 'Spade' Guinea, 1798, fifth head laureate head right, rev. crowned 'spade' shield, seven strings to harp, edge chevron milled, 12h (Farey 1370; EGC 732; MCE 402; Spink 3729), cleaned, two bag marks to the face and lightly pitted from haymarking, otherwise with hints of red toning, bolder very fine in 'CGS' holder, graded VF55 (Cert. # 9077 - 1G.G3.1798.01)
